Where to download Hong Kong company forms
Download official Hong Kong company forms directly from the Companies Registry and Inland Revenue Department websites to ensure they are current.
Where to Download Hong Kong Company Forms
Download Hong Kong company forms directly from the issuing body. The Companies Registry and the Inland Revenue Department each maintain their own forms index. Use those official sources. A form from an unofficial site may be outdated, and filing a stale copy leads to rejection.
Companies Registry Forms Download
The Companies Registry publishes all specified forms on its dedicated page, the specified forms index. This index covers every form required under the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622), from incorporation to deregistration. The URL is https://www.cr.gov.hk/en/forms/specified.htm. Forms are grouped by category: incorporation, annual return, directors and company secretary, registered office, share capital, charges, and deregistration. Each form is a fillable PDF. The Registry revises forms periodically; the index always holds the current version. For a local company, use Form NNC1 for incorporation, Form NAR1 for the annual return, or Form ND2A for a change of director.
IRD Forms Download Hong Kong
The Inland Revenue Department maintains its own index at https://www.ird.gov.hk/eng/paf/bus.htm. This page lists profits tax returns, employer returns, and property tax forms. Key forms for a Hong Kong company are Form BIR51 (Profits Tax Return for corporations), Form BIR56A (Employer's Return of Remuneration and Pensions), and Form IR56B (annual return of an employee's remuneration). Supplementary forms S1 to S18 accompany the profits tax return. The IRD updates its forms periodically. The official index is the only place to get the current version.
Official Statutory Forms Hong Kong
Both agencies offer electronic filing portals alongside paper forms. The Companies Registry operates the e-Services portal at https://www.eregistry.gov.hk/ for online filings. The Inland Revenue Department runs the Business Tax Portal at https://www.ird.gov.hk/eng/tax/bus_epf.htm for electronic profits tax returns. Mandatory electronic filing of profits tax returns began on 1 April 2026 for relevant entities of in-scope multinational enterprise groups. For most companies, paper forms remain standard. Download them from the official index first.
Why the Official Index Matters
Using the official index prevents filing a stale copy. The Companies Registry and the Inland Revenue Department revise forms when legislation changes. A form saved from a previous filing may be rejected. The specified forms index and the IRD forms index are the only sources guaranteeing the current version. Request a certified true copy of a filed form directly from the Registry. A downloaded blank form is not a certified copy.
What to Do Next
Bookmark the two official indexes. When a form is needed, go to the relevant index, download the PDF, and complete it according to the Registry's or Department's guidance. If you are unsure which form applies, the Companies Registry index includes a brief description of each form's purpose. The IRD lists its forms by category. Always check the form's date against the index date to confirm you have the latest version.
